It took us 3 years but we finally did it, we finally went on a camping trip (just the two of us). We went up to Mantua to a 4 wheeling campground that Jay remembered from his childhood. Unfortunately it was bow-hunting season and we had neighbors up at 3:00am as if there was no one else around, they were loud and annoying and have since made me hate Mantua...
This is me, waiting patiently in the car as Jay loads his ipod with some podcasts for the trip.

An hour later we were finally both in the car and on the way.

This is a picture of Jay getting the fire ready once we got up to camp.Even though you can't see it we did manage to get the tent put up, somehow...
This is our dinner, it was really delicious but I think it is because it took so much effort to get to that point.
Here is dessert, Jay was much better at cooking the dough then I was, his was always golden brown but as you can see, mine were always a wee bit crispy.
This is me in the morning waiting for the sun to heat up our campground and waiting for the wind to die down so I could actually stand by the fire.
This was our breakfast. Some people would call them pancakes but I think that ashcakes is a more appropriate term.
